2024 A Walk to Remember - 10/12/2024

A Walk to Remember takes place in October, which is National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness month, and commemorates the lives of babies lost due to miscarriage, stillbirth, and infant death.

The Springfield Walk is typically held at 10:00 a.m. on the first Saturday in October (unless otherwise announced) at the Washington Park playground shelter.

Proceeds from the Walk benefit the Springfield Angel of Hope, NFP, St. John’s SHARE and Memorial’s Pastoral Care. Parents, families, and friends are invited to walk in remembrance of their child or children. The 2-mile walk is preceded by a memorial service designed not only to remember our babies (each child’s name is read) but also to celebrate each life, no matter how long or short.

By gathering together to walk in our babies’ names, we keep their memories alive and offer support to one another. Whether marking a recent loss, or one that occurred several years ago, we encourage parents and loved ones to come walk for the steps our babies will never take.

A Walk to Remember 2024 will take place on October 12th, rain or shine!

Registration for 2024 is now closed. Come join us next year.
